Ole Miss Rebels Mascot - Colonel Reb Illustration #61809 (License: Personal Use)

This stylized illustration shows Colonel Reb, the historic mascot of the University of Mississippi athletics, characterized by his signature red cowboy hat, tailored red suit, white goatee, and walking cane. The caricature reflects early 20th-century Southern gentleman aesthetics and was used from 1979 until the mascot’s retirement in 2003 due to concerns over regional symbolism. Though no longer official, the image remains culturally resonant among alumni and sports historians.

Used on university heritage pages, sports history archives, and fan memorabilia sites; targets users researching college mascots, SEC history, or Ole Miss traditions.
