New England Confederation Flag - Historical Symbol of Colonial Unity #2043493 (License: Personal Use)

This flag represents the United Colonies of New England (1643-1686), a political and military alliance among four Puritan colonies. Its design features a red St. George’s Cross on a white field, overlaid with a blue circular seal containing a green Eastern white pine-the “Tree of Liberty”-surrounded by six white stars representing the original member colonies. The right half is solid red, evoking English heritage and sovereignty.

Used in historical articles, educational resources, museum exhibits, and genealogical sites about early American colonial history; serves users researching pre-Revolutionary alliances, flag evolution, or New England identity.
